No matter where you live, it's important to know the laws that have been created to keep food allergic school children safe. The summer is a great time to educate yourself and to begin to meet with school administrators to discuss the needs of your child. Be prepared to request a 504 Plan or an IEP or an Individualized Healthcare Plan. There are many options, but only you and your allergist know the best fit for your child.
